Wildwood New Jersey Boardwalk

You can't go to the Jersey shore without visiting the Wildwood boardwalk - a 3 mile long, world famous boardwalk! You can walk the boards, ride a bicycle at specified times (see below), or ride the battery operated tram cars. If you have ever been to Wildwood, I'm sure you can still remember it - "Watch the tram car please". These trams run from almost sunup - 9:00 AM to well past sundown - 1:00 AM. The tram in North Wildwood runs from 10:00 am until 5:00 PM.

Kids of all ages enjoy all the rides, games of chance and the carnival like atmosphere complete with barkers. If you like to try to win a toy animal, to try your hand at all sorts of games, to ride more rides than you can at Disneyland, to be thrilled with roller coasters that turn you upside down and to appreciate the magnificent view of Wildwood from the tallest ferris wheel (140 feet high) on the East Coast, then WILDWOOD IS FOR YOU! This boardwalk packs more fun than any other place you will visit.....

The Boardwalk starts at 16th Avenue in North Wildwood and ends up at Cresse Avenue - the start of Wildwood Crest....36 blocks of fun. It was originally only 150 feet long but has grown to almost 3 miles, plus has been moved closer to the ocean twice. It's fun to ride bicycles from one end to the other. Bicycling is permitted until 11:00 AM on weekdays, and until 10:30 on weekends and Holidays. No skating is allowed at any time.

Boardwalk events includes: Doo Wop '50s Nights on Monday, featuring parades, music, and classic cars; the Cape Atlantic Irish Piper Brigade, also every Monday night; Family Fun Night every Thursday, featuring parades, clowns, and music (including Philadelphia-style string bands); Movies on the Beach, Schellenger Avenue, every Friday night at 9 and 12; and Fireworks every Friday night at 11.

Believe it or not, The Wildwood Boardwalk offers more rides than Disneyland! - Amusements

Roller coaster fans include the Sea Serpent, the Nor'Easter - an inverted looping coaster - and the Great White, the tallest and fastest wooden coaster on the East Coast

The Boardwalk is traditionally open from Palm Sunday weekend through Columbus Day, with a weekends-only schedule before Memorial Day and after Labor Day. See you down here.
